Welcome To Our Journal

"Tori's Red Thread" is a site devoted to our daughter, Victoria Whaley in anticipation of her arrival in 2007. We are the Whaleys--Chris, Cindy and Jonathan. Through this site, you will share with us the anticipation, joys, and a few minor disappointments with referral delays. We have already been tremendously blessed through this adoption process. Along the way, we have met the most wonderful and prayerful individuals. Most of all, we have seen God's divine hand as we have compiled documentation, submitted paperwork, and traveled for fingerprinting and adoption workshops. We would like to thank all of our family and friends who have supported us in this exciting journey. In fact, if it were not for Bethany Christian Services and God guiding the hands of Beth, Carrie, Leah, Nancy and Terri, we would not be on this journey to bring our little "China Pearl" home. Please continue to pray for Victoria, her birth mom and family, and us as we watch God's blessings unfold!

As an update, we are heading toward our one year mark with Tori at home with us. Our healthy and happy little girl is turning two on January 26, and what an absolute blessing she is to all three of us! Chris and I can't imagine life without this barely 20 pound, strong-willed, beautiful little girl. And J.J. is loving the role of big brother who makes her laugh when no one else can! Our plans are to continue the site for at least another year--So please continue to keep us in your prayers as our children continue to grow, play, laugh, learn, and love.
