Welcome To Our Journal

Thank you for joining with us on our journey to our little girl! We are so excited to be part of God's plan as He increases our family! Here is how our story began...

Chris and I have always had adoption on our heart, but have felt God "tugging" at our heart strings for the past couple of years. Over the last year or so, we began researching adoption more and more and felt God's call on our lives very clearly.

We began talking with our adoption attorney, Michele Jackson, in July 2006 and she was very helpful in giving us the information we needed. After our initial meeting with her on August 2, 2006, we felt an overwhelming peace about our decision...we were going to adopt and we were going to adopt from Vietnam!

We ask that you would keep us in your prayers as we begin this journey of faith!!

Here is a running timeline of our journey...

August 2, 2006: Initial adoption meeting with Michele Jackson
August 14, 2006: Sent application and down payment
September 1, 2006: First Home Study visit
September 29, 2006: Final Home Study Visit
October 11, 2006: Home Study completed!
October 16, 2006: I-600 A form submitted
November 7, 2006: Federal Fingerprints
November 15, 2006: I-171H form received (Federal approval!)
November 29, 2006: Dossier completed and into the hands of our Agency
November 30, 2006: Dossier being "hand delivered" to Vietnam!
December 16, 2006: Log-In date with Vietnam government
August 2, 2007: Received official referral
October 11, 2007: Left for Vietnam!
